Welcome back Calgary Expo<\/a> and Fringe<\/a> fans,\"Calgary<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Who knew that in the midst of all the hustle and bustle of this incredible 2012 Calgary Expo<\/a>, that we would find a space as comfy as our own living room?\u00a0 Even though, we were actually sharing our \u2018personal\u2019 living room with over a thousand other folks that did not seem to matter.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

All the Fringe<\/a> fans in attendance were looking forward to Space Channel\u2019s<\/a> exciting FRINGE<\/a> Panel with the engaging, Jasika Nicole<\/a> and John Noble<\/a>, was just that; simply like having a chat in your very own living room.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\"Visit<\/a>Host, Ajay Fry<\/a>, of the Space Channel<\/a> immediately made this audience feel \u2018at home\u2019.\u00a0 Within minutes, we were whisked into the inner circle and the innermost workings of the brilliant series \u201cFRINGE<\/a>\u201d.\u00a0 \"Fringe-mini-banner-orange<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Jasika and John shared personal stories and delightful moments from their experience as part of the cast and team that bring this incredible show to our own living room\u2019s each and every week.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\"Calgary<\/a>The room grows electric.\u00a0 Anticipation builds.\u00a0 Expectations are high.\u00a0 We expect magic from John and Jasika – FRINGE favorites!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

AJay Fry prompted John Noble<\/a> and Jasika Nicole<\/a> with questions about each of their Fringe characters.\u00a0 Wanting to know more about how each gifted actor prepares their characters for each show and each storyline the fans were eager to hear from John and Jasika. <\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Just how does this talented ensemble cast work so well together?\u00a0 <\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

How do they navigate the tougher storylines?\u00a0 Brilliant stories.\u00a0 Stories, which tweak at our collective emotional core; amidst the intellectual \u2018candy\u2019 of the universe we know as FRINGE.\"Calgary<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Simple.\u00a0 They\u2019re a T-E-A-M. \u00a0They\u2019ve learned to work in a way that is both methodical and creative to keep the \u2018truth\u2019 of who each character is, on track.\u00a0 This is especially crucial when living their characters in both the FRINGE world of \u201cOver Here\u201d and \u201cOver There\u201d.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\"Fringe<\/a>AJay Fry spoke to the FRINGE episode, \u201cMaking Angels\u201d which featured Jasika\u2019s character, Astrid, in a dilemma between \u201cAstrid over Here\u201d (AoH) and Alt-Astrid or “Astrid over There\u201d (AoT).\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Jasika shared her experiences in how she learned more about who, Astrid, actually was, and is, over time.\u00a0 Why, Astrid grew so close to, Walter and how closely, John and Jasika, work with one another in order to develop the on-screen chemistry we see.\u00a0 \"Calgary<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The audience lets out a collective giggle with, Jasika, as she, herself, squeals with delight describing reading the script for this episode for the first time.\u00a0 It was a long-awaited opportunity and experience that she indeed cherished. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

There were challenges in shooting the dual realities, both for the actors and for the crew.\u00a0 Jasika\u2019s focus needed to be sharp to be able to return to the pivotal emotional moments between both AoH and AoT in this episode.\u00a0 No small feat at all.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\"Calgary<\/a>John addressed the need of any good actor to be completely \u2018present\u2019 when they are on screen.\u00a0 Even when a character is in the background of a scene; it is critical to be present and focused, this shows through.\u00a0 Being \u2018present\u2019 in the moment is a key to building a great scene for the whole team.\u00a0 John spoke of how he looks to, Jasika, as a touchstone, on set, in many ways.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We observed that both Jasika, and John are very relaxed and at home with each other. \u00a0This translates to how these talented artists, are able to forge a strong creative bond on screen, while living in the dual Universes of FRINGE.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Our grand \u2018living room chat\u2019 opens up into a lively audience Q & A session, where the questions run a very broad spectrum.\u00a0 Questions about who, exactly, comes up with all the names that Walter calls Astrid?\u00a0 How does, John, prep for scenes in which, Walter, needs to take LSD?\u00a0 \"Calgary<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Audience members ask John and, Jasika how they prep for intense scenes heavy with techno-speak.\u00a0 What challenges, does Jasika, face as a character in a strong supporting role?\u00a0 There are fits of laughter from the audience.\u00a0 We are delighted with our journey into the inner workings, we simply want more.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

There is a collective \u2018sigh\u2019 of gratitude, as, Jasika, affectionately refers to the Calgary Expo fans as simply doing things \u2018in the Canadian way\u2019. \u00a0Prompted by more audience questions, John incites more elated peals of laughter describing his all time favorite \u2018versions\u2019 of, Walter.\u00a0 There is even talk of John\u2019s experience in working with acclaimed Director, Peter Jackson, on the \u201cLord of the Rings\u201d Trilogy; John is asked what genius is likely to emerge with Jackson\u2019s long-awaited film \u201cThe Hobbit\u201d.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

John, and, Jasika, share their insights on what challenges will define the next season of FRINGE.\u00a0 Where will the stories go?\u00a0 What will happen with the Insurgents?\u00a0 The Observers?\u00a0 There is so much more to listen in on.
