Welcome back science fans!\"Mount<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Here at WHR Science News, our new team of scientists, researchers and practicing scientist authors will feature some of their favorite science disciplines via image, interviews, text and video. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

My favorite sciences in college were geology in general and Vulcanology<\/a> in specific. I was always fascinated by the sheer power of a volcano erupting and have always desired to visit one one up close and personal before my time expires on Earth! <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\"CBS<\/a>Nearly as gratifying, this evening in a fantastic news report by Scott Pelley<\/a> of the CBS Evening News<\/a>, we were treated to an up close view of the recent eruptions of Mount Gomo in the Congo and a journey to Iceland where 30 active Volcanoes are known to belch fire and spew huge chunks of the Earth the size of cars over 1,000 feet in the air! <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The video report, featured as the ending story of this evening news was a pleasant departure from the strife on Earth exploring the mysteries of science on our fair planet!

Many thanks to CBS Evening News and Scott Pelley for a delightful report that brought back memories of my own modest study of the planet Earth in my younger days! <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
