mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">This past year, the focus shifted, shifted closer to home in the form of Parkinson\u2019s disease.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>Near and dear to Enzo, Parkinson\u2019s was the diagnosis last fall for Enzo\u2019s father, Pietro.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">Parkinson\u2019s is, by the <a title=\"Mayo Clinic\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mayoclinic.com\/health\/parkinsons-disease\/DS00295\" target=\"_blank\">Mayo Clinic\u2019<\/a>s definition: \u201ca progressive disorder of the nervous system that affects ones movement.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>It develops gradually, sometimes starting with a barely noticeable tremor in just one hand.\u201d<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">The site goes on to list symptoms, most obvious being: \u201ctremor, slowed movement, rigid muscles, impaired posture and balance, loss of automatic movements, and speech and writing ch<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">h some people become severely disabled, others experience only minor motor disruptions.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">No one can predict which symptoms will affect an individual patient, and the intensity of the symptoms also varies from person to person,\u201d so says the <a title=\"NIH Parkinsons\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nihds.nhi.gov\/disorders\/parkinsons_disease.htm\" target=\"_blank\">National Institutes of Health<\/a>.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">Using the <a title=\"Just Giving\" href=\"http:\/\/www.justgiving.com\/parkinsons\" target=\"_blank\">JustGiving<\/a> platform and following their mission \u201cto make giving and raising money for charity simple, social, and rewarding\u201d, <a title=\"Enzo Cilenti Just Giving\" href=\"http:\/\/www.justgiving.com\/Enzo-Cilenti-PUK\" target=\"_blank\">Enzo\u2019s \u201cJustGiving\u201d<\/a> webpage imparts, \u201cParkinson\u2019s affects 1 in 500 people, and there is currently no cure.\u201d<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>This past May, Enzo raised $4710.03 for Parkinson\u2019s UK as he participated in a grueling bike ride called the \u201c<a title=\"Rat Race Road Trip\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ratraceroadtrip.com\/#up\" target=\"_blank\">Rat Race Road Trip<\/a>\u201d, 400+ miles over just 2 days from the Tower Bridge in London to Holyrood Park in Edinburgh.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>From their site, the 2013 Road Trip saw 400 riders join in on the inaugural trip with an impressive 95% completion rate.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt;
