Both love to act. Both have worked in film, in television and in theater. First generation Italian boys from Toronto, Ontario, Frank and John have both learned their craft by working in Toronto, Los Angeles, New York, and Vancouver. He graduated from <a title=\"Learn more about Humber college at their web site\" href=\"http:\/\/www.humber.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\">Humber College\u2019<\/a>s Film and TV Production Program as a camera operator, but his real passion was to become an actor. In 1982, he headed to New York to study, and then to act in a play called Detective Story. More plays followed while he supported himself as many actors do, by working in restaurants.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">During his stint in NY, Frank was introduced to <a title=\"Learn more about Julie Bovasso on IMDB\" href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0100566\/\" target=\"_blank\">Julie Bovasso<\/a>, an award winning Off-Broadway, actress, playwright and director, who had a reputation of being tough and often volatile. The two hit it off immediately, leading Frank to study under her for a few years. While under her tutelage, she arranged an audition for him with <a title=\"Learn more about Casting Director Bonnie Timmerman on IMDB\" href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0863659\/\" target=\"_blank\">Bonnie Timmerman<\/a> for <a title=\"Learn more about miami Vice on IMDB\" href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0086759\/\" target=\"_blank\">Miami Vice<\/a> which landed him a guest starring role.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">It was around this time that Frank had set his sights on the world renowned <a title=\"Learn more about The Actor's Studio on their web site\" href=\"http:\/\/theactorsstudio.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Actors Studio<\/a>, and set out to gain entry. His latest work has been a guest role in <a title=\"Click to visit and learn more about Supernatural at the official CW Network web site!\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cwtv.com\/shows\/supernatural\/\" target=\"_blank\">Supernatural<\/a> and in <a title=\"Click to visit and learn more about Continuum at the official Showcase Canada web site!\" href=\"http:\/\/www.showcase.ca\/continuum\/\" target=\"_blank\">Continuum<\/a>. It was then that <a title=\"Learn more about Aiko Suzuki on her web site\" href=\"http:\/\/www.aikosuzuki.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\">Aiko Suzuki <\/a>(sister of <a title=\"Learn more about David Suzuki at his web site\" href=\"http:\/\/www.davidsuzuki.org\/david\/?gclid=CN_mw56GkLkCFSU6Qgod0WEAeA\" target=\"_blank\">David Suzuki<\/a>) came to his class and taught a course in super 8 film making. John played his first leading role as a blind boy in a film shot in the then new <a title=\"Learn more about the Spadina Subway station here\" href=\"http:\/\/ttc.ca\/Subway\/Stations\/Spadina\/station.jsp\" target=\"_blank\">Spadina subway station<\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">Nevertheless, it would take some time and a diversion into athletics before John would return to his passion for the arts. After a typical childhood of running the streets of his neighborhood and a few scrapes with the law, John would eventually find his focus in athletics at <a title=\"Learn more about Central Tech High School here\" href=\"http:\/\/schools.tdsb.on.ca\/centraltech\/\" target=\"_blank\">Central Tech High School<\/a>. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">It is there that he would take his running to the track. John would go on to be part of the record breaking 4x100m relay team alongside Olympian<a title=\"Learn more about Atlee Mahorn on wikipedia\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Atlee_Mahorn\" target=\"_blank\"> Atlee Mahorn<\/a>. It was his speed that would catch the attention of the football team and in his senior year he would be awarded an Athletic Scholarship to <a title=\"Learn more about Simon Fraser University at their web site\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sfu.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\">Simon Fraser University<\/a> in Vancouver, BC.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">It was in the Simon Fraser Theater program that John\u2019s passion for acting was ignited. John would waste no time, and after 2 years at the University John made the move to New York to join his older brother Frank to further his studies and commit to acting as a life choice. It is there that he found what he likes to call his &#8220;artistic oasis&#8221;: The Actors Studio.
